HI, I'M RACHEL.

Rachel at her home office bookshelf

I started Rachel Reviews because I was tired of reading "reviews" that were really just rewritten spec sheets. Everything on this site gets bought with real money, used in real life, for real weeks, before I write a word about it.

I cover eight categories — tech & software, home & garden, health & wellness, money & finance, travel, beauty & personal care, food & kitchen, and family & parenting — because that's the actual spread of things people ask me about. For categories outside my own day-to-day experience, like parenting gear, I work with a small group of parents and grandparents I trust and report what they find, not what I imagine they'd find.

Every review carries a rating out of 10, a plain-language verdict on who it's actually for, and real cons — not the fake-humble kind. If something isn't worth your money, I say so.

HOW I TEST

Method varies by category — the specific approach is at the top of each category page — but the standard is the same across all of them: real purchase, real weeks of ordinary use, and a verdict that would survive me explaining it to a friend's face.
